Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age as of July 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.​

Educational Qualification(As on 30.04.2025): Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution.

1. Deputy Collector (Post Code1001 ) (Tamil Nadu Civil Service) – Candidates must possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

2. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category – 1) (Post Code 1002 ) (Tamil Nadu Police Service) – 1. Candidates must possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. 2. Other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates who possess National awards for physical efficiency.

3. District Employment Officer (Post Code 1003 ) (Tamil Nadu Commercial Taxes Service) – 1. Candidates must possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. 2. Other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates as follows; (a) First – Candidates who hold both B.Com. degree and B.L. degree together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws (b) Second – Candidates who hold both B.Com. and B.L. degree (c) Third – Candidates who hold either B.Com. degree or B.L. degree together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws (d) Fourth – Candidates who hold either B.Com. degree or B.L. degree

4. Assistant Director of Rural Development (Post Code 1006) (Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development Service) – 1. Candidates must possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. 2. Other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates possessing any of the following qualifications; (a) Post Graduate Degree in Rural Services of the Gandhigram Rural Institute (b) Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Extension. (c) Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Sociology.

5. District Employment Officer (Post Code 1007) (Tamil Nadu General Service) – 1. Candidates must possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. 2. Other things being equal, preference shall be given to graduates in Economics, Education, Sociology, Statistics, Psychology and to those with Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science and experience in industrial or personnel management or labour welfare.

6. Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Post Code 1946) (Tamil Nadu Labour Service) – 1. Candidates must possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; 2. Other things being equal preference shall be given to freedom fighters and members of their families. Explanation- (1) The expression “freedom fighters” shall mean persons who took part in any of the National Movements inaugurated by National Congress or under its sanction for attainment of independence of India and as a consequence have undergone imprisonment. (2) The expression “Family” shall mean the father, mother, son, daughter, grandson or unmarried grand daughter of a freedom fighter.

Salary: Selected candidates will receive a pay scale ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 (Level 22) per month, depending on the specific post and experience.​

Selection Process: The selection process comprises three stages:​

Preliminary Examination: Scheduled for June 15, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This objective-type test serves as a screening examination.​

Main Examination: Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main examination. The dates for the main exam will be announced later.​

Interview: Candidates who clear the main examination will be called for an interview to assess their suitability for the respective posts.​

Application Procedure:

One-Time Registration: Candidates must complete a one-time registration on the TNPSC website by paying a registration fee of ₹150. This registration is valid for five years.​

Application Fee: After registration, candidates need to apply for the Group-I examination by paying an examination fee of ₹100. Fee exemptions are available for certain categories as per government rules.​

Application Submission: Fill in the application form with accurate details and submit it online through the TNPSC website between April 1, 2025, and April 30, 2025.​
