API (Application Programming Interface)
API is a software that allows two applications to communicate with each other. It works as a kind of messenger, accepting your request and informing the system of what you need, and then relaying the response to you. For example, every time you use Facebook, pay via PayPal, or use your phone to find out the opening hours of your favorite restaurant, you use the API.
Attribution Window
The time period during which a conversion event can be declared after interacting with an ad.
• Click attribution - when the user clicked on your ad and took further action.
• Viewing through attribution - when the user saw your ad, he decided not to click on it, but took another action in the attribution window.
Average Order Value (AOV)
The average order value is an indicator used by retailers to analyze the buying behavior of their customers. It tracks the average pound spent each time a customer places an order through its website, and is a great way to increase productivity without increasing the conversion rate. An example of this would be the best product recommendations during the checkout process.
A/B testing
A/B testing, also known as "split testing", is a method of comparing two versions of a web page, campaign, or advertisement to determine which one works best.

A link is created when one website links to another.

Benchmarking
