Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Agniveer (General Duty) – Class 10th /Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and min 33% marks in each of those five subjects. For boards following the grading system, grades commensurate to percentages, as above, will be considered.
Note: For Driver Criteria, preference will be given to Applicants who possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license.
Agniveer (Technical) – 10+2/Intermediate Class Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate and 40% (Forty Percentage) in each subject. OR 10+2 /Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English from any recognized State Education Board or Central Education Board to include NIOS and ITI course of minimum one year in required field with NSQF level 4 or above. OR 10th/Matric pass with 50% (Fifty Percentage) in aggregate and minimum 40% (Forty Percentage) in English, Maths and Science with 02 years of Technical Training from ITI or two/three years Diploma from recognised educational institution including polytechnics in following streams only :-

(ii) Mechanic Diesel
(iii) Mechanic Motor Vehicle
(iv) Technician Power Electronic Systems
(v) Electrician

Agniveer (Clerk / Store Keeper Technical) – 10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% (Fifty Five Percentage) in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII (+2) is mandatory.
Agniveer Tradesmen 10th pass – Simple 10th pass (No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored 33% in five basic subjects).
Agniveer Tradesmen 8th pass – Simple 8th pass (No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored 33% in five basic subjects).
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 17.5 years
- Maximum Age: 21 years (Candidates born between 01 Oct 2003 to 01 Apr 2007 are eligible)
Candidates born between 01 Oct 2004 to 01 April 2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Physical Standards (Varies as per region)
- Height: Minimum 160 cm – 170 cm
- Chest Expansion: Minimum 77 cm (+5 cm expansion)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
Salary Details – Agniveer Pay Structure : Selected candidates under the Agnipath Scheme will receive the following monthly salary:
- Seva Nidhi Package: After 4 years, Agniveers will receive a lump sum ₹11.71 lakh (including interest) from their savings in the corpus fund.
- No pension benefits (However, Agniveers may apply for permanent selection based on merit and vacancies).
Selection Process : Candidates will be selected based on the following stages:
- Online Written Test (Common Entrance Exam – CEE)
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- 1.6 Km Run (in 5 min 30 sec for best group)
- Pull-ups (Minimum 6 pull-ups for passing)
- 9 Feet Ditch Jump
- Zig-Zag Balance Test
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification
