Educational Qualification: Applicants who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree (B.E/B.Tech) course or are in the final year of the Engineering Graduate course are eligible to apply. Applicants studying in the final year of engineering Graduate course should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Graduate Examination along with mark-sheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jan 2026 and produce the Engineering Graduate Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA).
Age Limit : 20 to 27 years as on 01 Jan 2026. (Applicants born between 02nd Jan 1999 and 01st Jan 2006, both dates inclusive).
Salary and Pay Structure: Upon commissioning, candidates will receive the following pay structure:

Lieutenant 10 ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
Captain 10B ₹61,300 – ₹1,93,900
Major 11 ₹69,400 – ₹2,07,200
Lieutenant Colonel 12A ₹1,21,200 – ₹2,12,400

Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month

Selection Process : The selection process involves multiple stages:
Shortlisting of Applications – Based on cut-off marks decided by the Indian Army for each engineering stream.
SSB Interview – Shortlisted candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews held in two stages:
Stage I: Screening test
Stage II: Psychological, Group Testing, and Interview
Medical Examination – Candidates who qualify SSB must undergo a thorough medical check-up.
