Salary Details: The selected candidates for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) in ECGC will receive an attractive salary along with various allowances and benefits. The details are as follows:
Basic Pay: ₹32,795 – ₹62,315 (plus applicable allowances)
The total salary, including various allowances like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, etc., will be approximately ₹70,000 – ₹80,000 per month, depending on the posting location.

Selection Process: The ECGC PO selection process consists of the following stages:
Online Examination (Objective and Descriptive):
Objective Test:
Reasoning Ability: 50 marks
English Language: 40 marks
General Awareness (with a focus on the Banking sector): 40 marks
Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks
Descriptive Test:
Essay Writing: 20 marks
Precis Writing: 20 marks
The Objective test will be for 200 marks, and the Descriptive test will be for 40 marks. Both will be conducted online.
Interview: Candidates who qualify in the online examination will be shortlisted for an interview. The interview carries 60 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will be 40% for the General category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
Final Selection: The final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the Online Exam and the Interview, with a weightage of 80:20, respectively. Candidates must secure sufficiently high marks in both stages to be considered for final selection.
