Educational Qualification:

1. Assistant Director (Cost) A qualification recognized for enrolment in the Register of Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
Desirable: i) Degree from a recognized University. ii) Three years’ experience in Cost Accounting work.
2. Specialist Grade III (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery) – (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate Degree in the concerned Speciality of Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI of CHS Rule from recognized teaching institute i.e., Magister Chirurguie (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Cardiac Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Vascular Surgery); or Diplomate National Board (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery/ Thoracic Surgery/ Cardiac Surgery/ Vascular Surgery ).
Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree.
3. Specialist Grade III (Endocrinology) – (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
(ii) Post-graduate Degree in the concerned Speciality of Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI of CHS Rule from recognized teaching institute i.e., Doctorate of Medicine( Endocrinology); or Diplomate National Board( Endocrinology); or Doctor of Medicine( Medicine) with two years’ special training in Endocrinology; or Doctor of Medicine( Paediatrics) with two years’ special training in Endocrinology; or Diplomate National Board( Medicine/ Paediatrics) with two years’ special training in Endocrinology.
Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree.
4. Assistant Cost Accounts Officer – B.Com degree of a recognized University.
Experience: Three years’ experience in Finance, Budget, Accounts and Audit from Government or Industrial Organisation.
Desirable: Passed final Examination from Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWA) or Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (CA) or Master of Business Administration (Finance) from recognised University or Institute.
5. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) – Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent*. *AMIE (Section A &B) of the Institute of Engineers (India) (Civil).
Note: The candidates who were enrolled for Associate member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) upto 31/05/2013 are only eligible and the candidates who have enrolled on or after 01/06/2013 for AMIE are not eligible for consideration to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) (Direct Recruitment).
Experience: Two years’ experience in supervisory capacity in design, maintenance and construction of structural and reinforced concrete works. DESIRABLE: Experience in General Administration, Maintenance and Operation of Lighthouses and other aids of Marine Navigation.
6. Specialist Grade III (Medical Gastroenterology) – (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. D.M.( Medical Gastroenterology)/ D.M.( Gastroenterology)/ M.D.( Medicine) or M.D.( Paediatrics with two years special training in Gastroenterology.
Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree.
7. Specialist Grade III (Paediatrics) – (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-Graduate degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D. (Paediatrics)/ Diploma Pead./ D.C.H.( Diploma in Child Health).
Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma.
8. Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) –(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-Graduate degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D. (Psychiatry)/D.P.M.(Diploma in psychological Medicine)/ M.D.( psychological (one year course) Medicine/ M.D. in Medicine with diploma in Psychological Medicine/ Diploma in Psychiatry(Edin) of two years course/ Diploma in Psychiatry(Mc. Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years’ course.
Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma.

Age Limit: (As on 14.03.2024)

1. Assistant Director (Cost) – 35 years
2. Specialist Grade III (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery) – 40 years
3. Specialist Grade III (Endocrinology) – 40 years
4. Assistant Cost Accounts Officer – 35 years
5. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) – 38 years
6. Specialist Grade III (Medical Gastroenterology) – 45 years
7. Specialist Grade III (Paediatrics) – 45 years
8. Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) – 45 years

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.

Salary: The salary for each post will be as per the norms of the UPSC and the central government. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed information on the pay scale for each position.

1. Assistant Director (Cost) – Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
2. Specialist Grade III (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery) – Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA
3. Specialist Grade III (Endocrinology) – Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA
4. Assistant Cost Accounts Officer – Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
5. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) – Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
6. Specialist Grade III (Medical Gastroenterology) – Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.
7. Specialist Grade III (Paediatrics) – Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.
8. Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) – Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.
