  1. One Time Registration (OTR) and Online Application:

The Board has set up a certain age limit to apply for this post and it varies according to the category the candidate belong. It is as follows :-

5. Junior Employment Officer (Differently Abled) in Employment and Training Department (Employment Wing)

7. Special Branch Assistant in Intelligence Section of the Police Department :

• Persons appointed should pass the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher / Senior Grade within a period of two years from the date of his/her appointment unless he/she has already passed the said examination.

Preferential Qualification:

8.Special Branch Assistant in Criminal Investigation Department :

• Any Degree and

Tnpsc group 2 / 2A posts selection procedure 2022 :

The candidates who have applied for this post and are Eligible will be undergoing a process of recruitment ,which takes place as three stages. The completion of each stage will take you into the next stage. The three steps pf selection procedure are :-

• Preliminary Examination

• Main Examination

• Interview & Records ( For Interview Posts)

Preliminary Examination :

Preliminary Examination will be conducted for all the candidates who have applied successfully in the link , and this is the first screening stage to shortlist the candidates into main examination. This is an objective type of examination conducted for 300 Marks. This will contain 200 questions in total and duration is 3 hours.

Main Written Examination :

This main Written Examination is for the candidates who have passed the preliminary examination and it is of descriptive type. There will be two papers each conducted for 3 hours. This time , TNPSC has introduced the mandatory tamil eligibility test for the candidates.

Interview & Records :

Interview will be conducted for candidates who have cleared the main examination and this will be for only interview posts. This will be for 40 Marks.

Tnpsc group 2 / 2A posts exam Pattern 2022 :

As we have already discussed, there are three stages in this recruitment. The syllabus for the examination is clearly explained below for each stage.

I Preliminary Examination :

Preliminary examination is an objective type of examination. Candidates will be appearing for 200 questions in 3 hours. This has two predominant sections :-

• General Tamil/ General English

• General Studies

• Mental Ability

General Tamil/ English :

• This subject will be of SSLC Standard. The choice of general English or general tamil is upto the decision of the candidates. There will be 100 questions in this section and plays a vital role in the question paper. Candidates are advised to study this section very carefully and thoroughly.

General Studies :

This subject will be of degree standard. This will be comprising of the subjects as mentioned in the official notification. Here 75 questions will take place in the question paper.

Aptitude/ Mental Ability :

This section is of SSLC Standard . Here 25 questions will take place and also plays an important part in the question paper.

General Tamil / General English : 100 Questions

General Studies : 75 Questions

Aptitude/ Mental Ability : 25 Questions

Total : 200 Questions

II Main Examination :

Main examination is now having tamil mandatory test as recent feature. This main examination has two papers and they are :-

1.Tamil Mandatory Eligibility Test ( PAPER I) :

This Test is for 100 marks and it is of the standard of SSLC. The qualifying marks for this test is 40 Marks. The duration is 3 hours. This mark will not be considered for ranking in the main written examination, it is only for qualifying yourselves in tamil .

Note :

• Only if you qualify in this Paper I , your Paper II will be validated.

2. Main Descriptive Examination( PAPER II)  :

This main written examination is for 300 Marks and conducted for 3 hours. It is of descriptive type and candidates will have to write either in fully English or fully tamil.

III Interview & Records ( For interview Posts only):

• This interview will be held for the candidates who qualify the main examination. This is for a total of 40 Marks. Interview Posts stated in the official notification will have this stage of interview.

Tnpsc group 2 / 2A posts examination fees 2022 :

The Examination fees is applicable for this recruitment. This will be of two ways .i.e., Registration Fees and Examination Fees.

Registration Fees :

• The registration fees of Rs.150/- is required for One time Registration ( OTR). This one time registration is valid for 5 Years and it is not an application to any post.

Preliminary Examination:

• The Preliminary Examination Fees of Rs.100/- should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment unless exemption of fee is claimed.

Main Written Examination:

• The Main Written Examination Fees of Rs.150/- should be paid only by those applicants admitted to the Main Written Examination based on the result of Preliminary Examination on receipt of intimation through SMS and E-mail from the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission unless exemption of fee is claimed.

Note:

• Fee Pay by online through Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card on or before the date of submission of online application by choosing the option in the online application.

Note:

(i) Linking Aadhaar number with One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for applicants. [For further details refer para 2B of ‘Instructions to Applicants’]

(ii) One Time Registration is valid for five years from the date of registration. After completion of five years, the applicant must renew the One Time Registration by paying the fee prescribed. An applicant should make an online application separately for each and every examination for which he intends to appear. [Refer para 2C of ‘Instructions to Applicants’]

(iii) Applicants who had already registered under One-Time Registration system by paying Rs.50/- before 01.03.2017 and having validity and those who have registered for One-Time Registration on or after 01.03.2017 by paying Rs.150/- towards One time Registration are exempted from paying the registration fee for this recruitment.

How to apply?

1.Visit the official website of TNPSC http://www.tnpsc.gov.in

2.Search for TNPSC Combined Civil Services Examination-II (Interview Posts and Non-Interview Posts) (Group-II and IIA services) Notification 2022.

3.Click on apply online.

4.Login with your login id & password given to you at the time of registration.

5.If not registered , register yourselves in one time registration and then start applying.

6.Start entering the details carefully and submit your online application form.

7.Upload the required documents in the application form.

8.Make your online payment as mentioned in the notification.

9.Take a print out for your future reference.

Note :

• There is no edit option in the application form, so candidates are advised to apply the online application form with utmost care.
