Eligibility: To be eligible for the post of Staff Car Driver (OG), candidates must have Educational & Other qualifications as below:
(i) Possession of a valid driving license for light & heavy motor vehicles.
(ii) Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle
(iii) Experience of driving light & heavy motor vehicle for at least three years.
(iv) Pass in 10th Standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
Desirable qualification: Three years’ service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.
Age Limit (As on 31.03.2023)
- For UR & EWS: 18 to 27 years
- For SC & ST : Relaxable by 5 years
- For OBC : Relaxable by 3 years
- For Government Servants up to 40 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government
- For Ex- Serviceman up to a maximum of 3 years [08 ( 3+ 5 ) years for SC & ST and 06 (3+3) years for OBC] after deduction of the Military Service rendered from the actual age]
Salary: The selected candidates for the post of Staff Car Driver (OG) will receive a Pay Matrix of Rs. 19900-63200/- + Admissible Allowances.
Selection Process: The selection process for the post of Staff Car Driver (OG) will be based on a written test and an interview conducted by the Tamil Nadu Post Office.
