| For post codes “A” to “C”(Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) /Junior Translation Officer (JTO)/Junior Translator (HT)): – Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Graduate level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Graduate level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the Graduate level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Graduate level; or Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Graduate level and Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Govt Office, including Govt of India Undertaking. |

Selection Process : The selection process for SSC CHTE 2024 includes the following stages:
Paper- I Computer Based Mode
Paper- II Descriptive
Paper-I (Computer Based Examination): This will consist of objective type questions covering General Hindi and General English.
Paper-II (Descriptive Type): This will test the translation and essay writing skills of the candidates in Hindi and English.
Document Verification: Candidates who clear both the papers will be called for document verification.
