ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NTPC EXECUTIVE POSTS
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
1. EXECUTIVE (Carbon Capture and Utilization) : PhD in area related to Carbon Capture /Utilization from reputed University/Institute OR ME / M. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Energy / C&I / Environment with at least 60% marks from Recognized University/Institute AND Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field OR B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / C&I with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field Experience is required in Carbon Capture / Utilization
2. EXECUTIVE (Hydrogen) : PhD in area related to Hydrogen generation process from reputed University / Institute OR M.E. / M. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / C&I with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field OR B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / C&I with at least 23% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
3. EXECUTIVE(Waste to Energy) : PhD in area related to Biomass process from reputed University / Institute OR M.E. / M. Tech in Mechanical with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field OR B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
4. EXECUTIVE (Civil Design) : MTech/ ME Civil Degree with at It 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution. Preference will be given to candidates with ME/M. Tech degree. AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 5 years in detailed process engineering of civil system of Plants such as Fertilizers, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Refinery, Specialty Chemicals, Oil & Gas, power Projects, Off-Sites and Utility facilities etc. AND Proficiency in structural design software’s e.g., STAAD-Pro / STAAD Foundation. Working knowledge of 3D modeling & detailing software’s e.g., AUTOCAD etc. and Conversant with Indian as well as international design codes and standards viz. IS, BS/EUROCODE, ASCE and ACI OR B Tech / BE Civil with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 7 years in detailed process engineering of civil system of Plants such as Fertilizers, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Refinery, Specialty Chemicals, Oil & Gas, power Projects, Off-Sites and Utility facilities etc. AND Proficiency in structural design soft wares e.g., STAAD-Pro/ STAAD Foundation. Working knowledge of 3D modeling & detailing soft wares e.g., AUTOCAD etc. and Conversant with Indian as well as international design codes and standards viz. IS, BS/EUROCODE, ASCE and ACI
5. EXECUTIVE (Infrastructure) : M Tech / ME Civil with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 2 years in infra management in any plant, office, institute etc. OR B Tech / BE Civil with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 4 years in infra management in any plant, office, institute etc.
6. EXECUTIVE (Program Office): MBA in Marketing / Operations with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 5 Years of post-qualification experience in relevant field.
7. EXECUTIVE(Ash Technologies): PhD in any area of Mechanical / Civil / Electrical in field related ‘Bulk Ash handling system’ from Recognized University / Institute OR ME / M. Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical in field related ‘Bulk Ash handling system’ with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 05 years of post-qualification research / industrial experience in the Design of Ash / Material handling system. Added experience of erection & commissioning of aforesaid system shall be preferable. OR BE / B Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 07 years’ post-qualification research / industrial experience in the Design of Ash / Material handling system. Added experience of erection & commissioning of aforesaid system shall be preferable.
8. EXECUTIVE (Non Destructive Evaluation): Ph.D. in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Electrical from Recognized University / Institute AND (a) Personnel Certification in NDT (PCN) Level-2 in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) OR ISNT / ICN / ASNT certified NDE Level-2 in Ultrasonic Testing with Level 2 training in PAUT as per requirements of respective certification body (b) NDT Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) as per ISNT/ICN/ASNT OR M. Tech / M.E. in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Electrical with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 3 years in health & life assessment of power plant components in field using NDE methods. Experience with in-situ metallography will be preferable. AND (a) Personnel Certification in NDT (PCN) Level-2 in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) AND ISNT / ICN / ASNT certified NDE Level-2 in Ultrasonic Testing with Level 2 training in PAUT as per requirements of respective certification body (b) NDT Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) as per ISNT / ICN /ASNT OR B. Tech. in Chemistry with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience with strong laboratory analytical skills in handling sophisticated instruments for water, resin, deposit, coal and oil related testing, like Spectrophotometer / Microwave Digester / Ion Chromatograph, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer & ICP / ICP-MS / DGA / Automatic bomb calorimeter / RPVOT OR M.Sc. in (Industrial Chemistry/Applied Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry) with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience with strong laboratory analytical skills like in handling sophisticated instruments for water, resin, deposit, coal and oil related testing, like Spectrophotometer / Microwave Digester / Ion Chromatograph, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer & ICP / ICP-MS / DGA / Automatic bomb calorimeter / RPVOT
10. EXECUTIVE(Metallurgy) : Ph.D. in the field of Metallurgy / Microstructural characterization / Mechanical characterization / Heat treatment / Welding technology / Modelling of structure of metals / alloy structure / super alloy / advanced power plant materials etc. OR MTech in Metallurgy / Material Science with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 5 years in the field of metallurgy / microstructural analysis / mechanical property correlation study / failure analysis. Preference will be given who is having exposure in the power plant metallurgy or in the relevant field given in job description OR BE / B.Tech / MSc in Metallurgy / Material Science with at least 60% marks from Recognized University / Institute AND Minimum post-qualification experience of 7 years in the field of metallurgy / microstructural analysis / mechanical property correlation study / failure analysis. Preference will be given who is having exposure in the power plant metallurgy or in the relevant field given in job description.

Offline payment mode: State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a specially opened account (A/C No. 30987919993) at CAG Branch, New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application registration portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. NTPC will not be responsible, in case a candidate deposits the fee in wrong account.
Online Payment mode: Candidates also have the option to pay the fees online (through Net banking / Debit Card (Rupay debit cards Only) / Credit Card). The online payment option will be available on the website. The candidate is required to make the payment before proceeding for online application. After making successful payment, the Challan number, Bank Reference No., date of payment etc., are required to be filled up in the online application.
