The National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis ( NIRT), Chennai is recruiting eligible candidates for the position of Project Scientist D (Non-Medical – Bioinformatics), Project Junior Medical Officer, Project Junior Nurse, Project Technical Officer, Senior Project Assistant/UDC, Project Multi-Tasking Staff Posts. Educational qualification :
1. Project Scientist D (Non-Medical – Bioinformatics) –
• 1st Class Master’s degree in Bioinformatics or related discipline from a recognized university with 8 years’ experience. OR 2nd Class M.Sc. + PhD in Bioinformatics or related Discipline from a recognized university with 8 years’ experience.
Desirable Qualification:
• Experience in handling and analysis Next-Generation Sequencing data
• Experience in scripting language (PERL/PHYTHON etc.)
• Experience in conceptualizing and executing collaborative/ independent research project.
• Doctorate or M.Tech Degree in Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology or relevant subject from a recognized University.
• Additional Post-Doctoral research/ 2 years teaching experience in Computer Science in recognized institute(s) after obtaining essential qualifications.
2. Project Junior Medical Officer :
• MBBS degree from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification:
• Aware of the latest guidelines in TB management.
• Conducted/involved in research projects.
• Good communication skills with Knowledge of Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications, Data handling, Analysis, Interpretation and report writing.
3. Project Junior Nurse :
• High School or equivalent with science Subjects plus certificate course in ANM with five years’ experience from a recognized institute/board.
4.Project Technical Officer :
• Graduate in Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics/ Actuarial science/ Data analytics/ Public Health / Computer Applications from a recognized university with five years’ work experience from a recognized institution OR Master’s Degree in relevant subject.
5.Senior Project Assistant/UDC :
• 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board with 5 years’ experience of administrative work OR Graduate in any discipline with 2 years’ experience of administration work. AND A speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour (kdph) on computer
6.Project Multi-Tasking Staff :
• High School or Equivalent
