Educational Qualification for NAL: Candidates applying for Scientist Posts must have:
- Ph.D. / M.E. / M.Tech in relevant disciplines such as Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent fields from a recognized university.
- Candidates should have strong research and development experience in their respective fields.
1. Scientist / Gr.IV(2) S-101 – Education Qualification: PhD submitted in the area of Chemistry / Materials Science / Metallurgical Engineering Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrochemistry, Corrosion, Coating development by chemical / electrochemical processes and surface characterization |
2. Scientist / Gr.IV(2) S-102- Education Qualification: Ph.D submitted in the area of Chemistry / Materials Science Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in the area of fuel cell fabrication and testing |
3. Scientist / Gr.IV(2) S-103- Education Qualification: ME/M.Tech in the area of Polymer Science & Technology or Polymer Chemistry or Ph.D submitted in the area of Polymer Science & Technology or Polymer Chemistry Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in one or more of the following areas: Materials characterization, polymer synthesis, fiber science and Carbonization process. |

Scientist / Gr.IV(2) S-104- Education Qualification: ME/M.Tech. in the area of Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Engineering or Ph.D submitted in the area of Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Engineering Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in one or more of the following areas: Metallurgical characterization techniques including Scanning electron microscopy, fractography, image analysis, EDS analysis. Experience in the area of aerospace alloys such as aluminium, titanium and nickel based superalloys |
5. Scientist / Gr.IV(2) S-105- Education Qualification: ME/M. Tech. in the area of Materials Engineering / Materials Technology / Ceramics Engineering / Ceramics Technology or Ph. D. submitted in the area of Materials Engineering / Materials Technology / Ceramics Engineering / Ceramics Technology Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in one or more of the following areas: (i) Materials characterisation including mechanical, thermal, microstructural, thermo-mechanical properties (ii) Structure- property processing correlation studies of continuous fibre reinforced ceramic matrix composites (CFCC) and (iii) Chemical Vapour Infiltration (CVI) and other methods are used to synthesize CFCC. |

Age Limit:
Maximum Age: 32 years (as of 03.04.2025)
Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms.
Salary Details : Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Level 11 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, which is approximately ₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700/- per month, along with applicable allowances as per CSIR norms.
