Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Constable (Motor Mechanic):Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. Certificate in Motor Mechanic or relevant trade from an ITI or similar recognized institution.

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic): 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board. Diploma or certificate in Motor Mechanic trade from a recognized institution with work experience.

Age Limit: Minimum Age: 18 years, Maximum Age: 25 years,Age relaxation as per government norms applies for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Physical Standards:

Height:

Male: Minimum 170 cm (relaxable for specific categories).

Female: Minimum 157 cm (relaxable for specific categories).

Chest (For Male):

Unexpanded: Minimum 80 cm

Expanded: Minimum 85 cm

Salary Structure

• Constable (Motor Mechanic): Level-3 in the Pay Matrix (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)
• Head Constable (Motor Mechanic): Level-4 in the Pay Matrix (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive allowances as per ITBP rules, including medical benefits, housing, and other perks.

Selection Process: The selection process for ITBP Constable (Motor Mechanic) posts involves:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must clear the PET to qualify for further rounds. Includes running, long jump, and high jump tests.

Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, weight, and chest as per prescribed standards.

Written Examination: Objective-type test covering subjects like General Awareness, English, Reasoning, Mathematics, and Trade Knowledge.

Trade Test: Practical evaluation of motor mechanic skills.

Document Verification: Verification of educational certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents.

Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the required medical standards.
