Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from recognized board and One year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the trade of a Mason or Carpenter or Plumber or Electrician.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 23 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government norms.
Salary : The selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Level 3 of the 7th Pay Commission with a salary range of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month. In addition to the basic pay, they will also be entitled to various allowances as per the rules.
Selection Process : The selection process for the ITBP Constable (Pioneer) posts will consist of the following stages:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates will undergo a PET which includes a race, long jump, and high jump. The specific requirements for male and female candidates will be mentioned in the official notification.
Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify in the PET will have their height, chest (for male candidates), and weight measured.
Written Examination: Candidates who clear the PST will be eligible to appear for the written examination. The written test will consist of objective-type questions related to General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Trade-related knowledge.
Trade Test: Candidates who qualify in the written examination will undergo a trade test to assess their practical knowledge and skills in the respective trade.
Document Verification: Candidates who clear the trade test will be called for document verification to check the authenticity of their educational and other certificates.
Medical Examination: Finally, candidates who clear all the above stages will undergo a detailed medical examination to ensure they are medically fit to perform the duties of a Constable.
