Vacancy Details: The Agniveer (MR) recruitment is conducted for various roles within the Indian Navy, including:​

• Chef: Responsible for preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals as per the menu, including the handling of meat products. Additional duties include ration accounting and other tasks essential for the efficient operation of the organization.

• Steward: Duties involve serving food in officers’ messes, housekeeping, managing funds, wine and stores accounting, and menu preparation. Stewards also undertake various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization.​

• Hygienist: Tasked with maintaining hygiene in washrooms and other areas, along with additional duties necessary for the organization’s effective operation.​

All selected candidates will undergo Basic Training at INS Chilka, followed by professional training in their allotted trades at various Naval Training Establishments. Trade allocation will be based on service requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Those who have appeared for the Class 10th Board Exam and are awaiting results may also apply, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria and produce the original mark sheet during Stage II of the recruitment process. ​J

Age Limit: Applicants should be between 17½ and 21 years of age on the day of enrollment. ​

(a) Agniveer 02/2025 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Sep 2004–29 Feb 2008 (Both dates inclusive).
(b) Agniveer 01/2026 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Feb 2005–31 Jul 2008 (Both dates inclusive).
(c) Agniveer 02/2026 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Jul 2005–31 Dec 2008 (Both dates inclusive).
