Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme, candidates must fulfill the following criteria.
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Age Limit: Born between 02 Jul 2004 and 01 Jan 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
Who can Apply: Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2023 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2023 published by NTA.
Salary and Benefits: Selected candidates will be offered a handsome salary package along with various benefits and allowances as per the Indian Navy norms. The salary will be as per the 7th Central Pay Commission and will include Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowance, and other applicable allowances.
Selection Process: IHQ MoD (Navy) reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2023. All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from Aug 2023 onwards. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over. Change of SSB Centre for examination/ interview is not permissible under any circumstances. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ MoD (N) via SMS/email (provided by candidate in their application). Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter. No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews. AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB. Written Examination: Candidates will be required to appear for a written examination that assesses their knowledge in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written examination will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. The SSB interview consists of a series of tests including intelligence tests, psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews.
Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the SSB interview will have to undergo a thorough medical examination to ensure their medical fitness for service in the Indian Navy.
