Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification: The eligibility varies depending on the specific role:

Engine Driver: Should have a valid certificate for Engine Driver of a fishing vessel, lifeboat, or steam launch.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in handling machinery of boats or ships.

Sarang Lascar: Matriculation or equivalent. Sarang Certificate granted by the government. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Fireman: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. Knowledge of firefighting equipment and appliances. Must be physically fit.

MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. Some posts may require proficiency in specific skills, like driving or handling office work.

Civilian Motor Transport Driver: 10th standard pass. Valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles. At least two years of driving experience.

Age Limit: The minimum age for most of the posts is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years, though it may vary by post. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen and other categories.

Salary Structure: The salary for the selected candidates will vary based on the post they are selected for:

• Engine Driver: Level-4, Pay Scale of Rs. 25,500 – 81,100
• Sarang Lascar: Level-4, Pay Scale of Rs. 25,500 – 81,100
• Fireman: Level-2, Pay Scale of Rs. 19,900 – 63,200
• Civilian Motor Transport Driver: Level-2, Pay Scale of Rs. 19,900 – 63,200
• MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff): Level-1, Pay Scale of Rs. 18,000 – 56,900

In addition to the salary, employees will receive allowances as per the rules of the Indian Coast Guard.
