Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification :

Engineer Trainee – Candidates must possess Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology or Five-year integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.

Supervisor Trainee (Technical) – Candidates must possess Full-Time regular Diploma in Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute, with a Minimum 65% marks or Equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all years/semesters (relaxable to 60% for SC/ST Candidates).

Equivalent Qualifications for ET Positions in BHEL: For the discipline of Engineering (i.e. Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Civil/ Chemical/ Metallurgy) candidate with Engineering Degree in other disciplines considered equivalent by BHEL as below may also apply.

Age Limit (As on 28.02.2025):

Engineer Trainee – 27 Years (Candidates born before 01/02/1998 are not eligible to apply), 29 years for candidates having two years’ full time Post Graduation in Engineering or Business Administration/ Management.

Supervisor Trainee (Technical) – 27 Years (Candidates born before 01/02/1998 are not eligible to apply).

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

For SC/ ST Applicants: 5 years

For OBC Applicants: 3 years

For PwBD (Gen/ EWS) Applicants: 10 years

For PwBD (SC/ ST) Applicants: 15 years

For PwBD (OBC) Applicants: 13 years

Salary Details

Engineer Trainee:

Basic Pay: ₹50,000/- per month during the training period.

Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers at E1 Grade with a pay scale of ₹60,000 – 1,80,000/-.

Supervisor Trainee:

Basic Pay: ₹43,500/- per month during the training period.

After training, candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ₹50,000 – 1,60,000/-.

English Proficiency

The test duration will be 2 hours, and the questions will be multiple-choice based.

Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the CBT will be called for a personal interview.

Final Merit List: The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the CBT and interview.
