What are the topics that are included in the mains exam for group 1 ?

The mains examination is conducted for a total of 750 Marks. It comprises of three sections as :-

1.General Studies Part I

2. General Studies Part II

3.General Studies Part III

Each section is held for 250 marks. So all the three sections add as 750 marks in total.Following are the topics included in each section :-

1.General Studies- PAPER 1 :

General Aptitude & Mental Ability

Modern Indian History and Indian Culture.

2.General Studies- PAPER 2 :

Indian Polity and Emerging Political Trends across the world affecting India

Tamil Society – Culture and Heritage

Role and Impact of Science and Technology in the Indian development

3.General Studies – PAPER 3 :

Indian Geography – special reference to Tamil Nadu

Biodiversity, Disaster Management and Environment

Indian Economy – Current trends and impact of the global economy on India
