The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam board came with new update about Admit card download. The WBJEE conducts entrance exam yearly for MBBS and BDS courses admission regularly to place students with respect to their merits. As earlier, many candidates involved in applying with interest can now download their admit card from official link or from our site. WBJEE Medical Entrance Exam Admit Card 2016 is available readily.
About us
The West Bengal joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed as West Bengal Board of Examinations for Admission to Engineering Degree Colleges in the year 1962, born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the Engineering colleges of the State of West Bengal. The basic purpose was to select candidates for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.
Exam pattern
As it is related to Medical field, the questions will be asked from science streams only. There are totally two papers such as Paper I and Paper II. The Paper I will be asked from biological paper for 150 marks and Paper II will be asked from Physics and Chemistry for 100 marks. It is Pen and paper based exam. That means, it is OMR based offline test using black or blue ball point pen. The weightage of the question paper as follows,
Biological Science – 150 marks (80 x 1 marks, 25 x 2 marks & 10 x 2 marks)
Physics – 50 marks (30 x 1 mark, 5 x 2 mark, 5 x 2 marks)
Chemistry – 50 marks (30 x 1 mark, 5 x 2 mark, 5 x 2 mark).
The syllabus is already mentioned in the information brochure which was provided during the application submission. The exam will be held on 20th July 2016 at two sessions such as 10.30 am to 1 pm (Bio) and 2pm to 4pm. While preparing rank list, if any tie occurs means will be broken by the board decision.
Admit Card download
According to last year statistics, around 2450 seats in 22 colleges in West Bengal, whereas 16 Medical colleges and 5 Private colleges.The admit card won’t be sent through Post or other means. It can be available only through online mode. The admit card should be carried along with any one government issued Id proof on the day of examination. The admit card will be sent only for eligible candidates. If any defect found in admit card like unclear photograph, signature and distorted means you need to get attested from gazette officer with affixed photograph which is should be same as given for form filling. So it better to keep the admit card safe till the end of recruitment.
General Instructions
- Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of Examination Hall.
- If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Hall.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except Hall ticket, photograph and black or blue ball point pen inside examination Hall.
- Mobile Phones, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of Calculator are not allowed in the Examination Hall.
- Possession of such items during the Examinations may lead to cancellation of candidature.
Steps to download
Firstly go to official link, check for download admit card for Medical Entrance, Now choose “WBJEEB Medical Entrance 2016”, Enter your registration number and password if required. Before submitting, verify all the details once. Now it is right time to take print out of admit card as hard copy.
