Educational Qualification For UPSC Recruitment
Senior Instructor: M.Sc. in Marine Biology or Zoology or Fisheries Science or equivalent from a recognized University.
Deputy Director: Masters Degree in Computer Applications or Computer Science or M. Tech (with specialization in Computer Applications) or BE/B. Tech in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology from a recognized University or Institute.
Scientist ‘B’ (Forensic DNA): Master degree in Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Zoology or Human Genetics having Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognized University; or Master Degree in Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognized University or institute OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from recognized University or institute.
Age Limit For UPSC Recruitment 2022
- Senior Instructor – 35 years
- Deputy Director – 50 years
- Scientist ‘B’ (Forensic DNA) – 35 years
- Junior Scientific Officer – 30 years
- Scientist ‘B’ (Chemistry) – 40 years
- Scientist ‘B’ (Geo-physics) – 38 years
- Scientist ‘B’ (Geology) – 35 years
- Labour Enforcement Officer – 30 years
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Application Fee For UPSC LEO & Scientist Posts
- Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
- Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
- Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection
