$48 million :- The Indian government has recently signed a financing agreement with World Bank (WB) for $48 million for Nagaland Health Project. The heath project will directly benefit about 600,000 people. It will support and complement existing systems and mechanisms involving communities under the National Health Mission (NHM). The purpose of the project is to improve health services in Nagaland. The closing date of Nagaland health Project is March 31, 2023.

6.6% :- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has downgraded India’s GDP growth forecast for FY 17 to 6.6% against its earlier estimate of 7.6% currencies in its updated flagship publication “World Economic Outlook (WEO)” due to Indian government’s move to demonetize high-value currencies. Apart from this, in the updated WEO report, the IMF has expected India’s growth rate at 7.2% in 2017-18 and 7.7% in 2018-19. The report stated that India’s GDP growth forecast downgraded due to the temporary negative consumption shock induced by cash shortages and payment disruptions associated with the recent currency note withdrawal and exchange initiative.

Gujarat :- The world’s biggest cricket stadium will come up at Motera area in Ahmedabad, Gujarat with a seating capacity of 1.10 lakh people. The stadium is designed by world renowned architect firm M/s. Populous and the construction award has been given to Larsen and Turbo (L&T). The stadium will be operational in two years time and will be constructed at a cost of Rs 700 crore. The new stadium will be spread across a 63 acre land in Motera where the existing Motera Stadium has been demolished. The stadium will have 76 corporate boxes, four dressing rooms, a club house and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
