Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification : Candidates must have passed SSLC (10th Standard) or its equivalent examination. They must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:
Higher Grade in Tamil and English, or
Higher Grade in Tamil and Lower Grade in English, or
Higher Grade in English and Lower Grade in Tamil.
Note: Applicants who possess a Graduate (or) Diploma in Computer Science (or) Computer Engineering (or) Computer Application (or) Information Technology (or) Software Engineering (or) Computing (or) Computer Information System (or) Computer Design approved by the University Grants Commission / All India Council for Technical Education / Directorate of Technical Education (or) an equivalent body shall not be required to acquire the Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation.
Applicants who do not possess Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation conducted by the DTE, Govt. of Tamil Nadu may also apply. If selected, they should acquire such Education qualification within the period of their probation or within 02 years from the date of appointment to the post, as the case may be.
Experience : Candidates should currently be employed as Temporary Typists in the Employment and Training Department under the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service.
Language Proficiency : Proficiency in Tamil (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
Age Limit : Minimum Age: 18 years, Maximum Age: 32 years for eligible Temporary Typists under this recruitment.

Salary : The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in Level-8 of the Pay Matrix ranging from ₹19,500 to ₹62,000, as per Tamil Nadu Government norms.
Selection Process : The selection process for TNPSC Typist Recruitment 2024 will include the following stages:
Written Examination: A competitive written examination will assess candidates’ skills in typewriting and general knowledge. The detailed exam pattern and syllabus will be available in the official notification.
