Eligibility Criteria
Senior Research Fellow – Master Degree in Fisheries Science / Marine Biology / Zoology / Nautical Science
Desirable / Experience: Preference will be given to the Applicants possessing M.F.Sc. degree (FT & FE & FRM); having in-depth technical knowledge in craft & Gear designing, Fish identification & preservation, data collection & analysis, experience in fishing cruises and willingness to participate in fishing operations.
Deckhand – a) Must have passed VIII Std. b) Must possess experience in fishery vessel for a period of not less than three years
Desirable / Experience: Preference will be given to the Applicants possessing B.Voc. (IFT) and B.Tech. (FNT) degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of fishing gears and boat and in the data collection.
Age Limit: Candidates should generally be under 35 years (age relaxations as per government norms for reserved categories).
Salary Details :
Senior Research Fellow (SRF): The salary for SRF is typically around ₹31,000 – ₹35,000 per month, plus additional allowances as applicable per TNJFU norms.
Deckhand: The monthly remuneration is expected to be around ₹15,000 – ₹20,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
