SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
Part – A: Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test: (Objective Type – OMR Based).
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test only and it will be conducted in objective type consisting of 30 questions for 50 marks and the duration of examination will be 30 minutes as Part – A. This mark will not be considered for ranking.
(i) Syllabus for Tamil language eligibility examination is of 10th standard level.
(ii) Minimum 40% of total marks in part – A examination (minimum qualifying marks) is eligible for the next level of evaluation of the main examination answer sheet.
(iii)The procedure will be followed as mentioned in the G.O.(Ms.) No. 49, Human Resources (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022 for exempting the differently abled candidates from the Compulsory Tamil Language eligibility
test.

- The weightage of marks shall be calculated by adding 0.5 mark for each year from the year of passing of the TNTET – Paper – II examination.
- For example, for those who have passed the TNTET – Paper – II examination in the year 2012 considering the present stage (i.e. year 2023) 0.5 mark shall be added for 11 years hence 5.5 (11 years x 0.5) weightage
marks shall be awarded. - For those who have passed the TNTET – Paper – II examination in the year 2013,5 weightage marks (10 years x 0.5) shall be awarded.
- For those who have passed TNTET – Paper – II examination in the year 2019, 2 weightage marks (4 years x 0.5) shall be awarded.
- Similarly, for those passed in 2022, 0.5 weightage mark (1 year x 0.5) shall be awarded.
- In case, if a Candidate has passed the TNTET – Paper – II examination for more than one year, then the earlier year of passing of TNTET – Paper – II examination with the specific optional subject for which subject the
candidates applied for this recruitment shall be taken into account for considering and awarding of weightage marks.
