Tamil Nadu SI Exam 2023: Selection Procedure and Document Verification
The Tamil Nadu Sub-Inspector (SI) Exam 2023 is a highly anticipated recruitment drive for candidates who aspire to join the police force in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) conducts this exam to fill vacancies for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk, Armed Reserve, and Tamil Nadu Special Police). The selection procedure for Tamil Nadu SI Exam 2023 involves several stages, including a written examination, physical measurement test, endurance test, and document verification.
Written Examination:
The first stage of the selection process is the written examination. The TNUSRB conducts a computer-based examination for Tamil Nadu SI Exam 2023. The written examination consists of two papers, namely Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is a general knowledge and psychology paper with 80 questions, and Paper-II is a technical paper with 60 questions. The total marks for the written examination are 140, and candidates have 3 hours to complete the exam. The questions will be objective in nature, and there will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
Physical Measurement Test:
Candidates who clear the written examination will have to appear for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The PMT is conducted to ensure that candidates meet the minimum physical requirements set by the TNUSRB. The physical standards vary for male and female candidates. For male candidates, the height should be at least 170 cm, and the chest measurement should be at least 81 cm (expansion of 5 cm). For female candidates, the height should be at least 159 cm, and the weight should be proportional to the height.
Endurance Test:
After clearing the PMT, candidates will have to undergo an Endurance Test. The Endurance Test is designed to test the physical fitness of the candidates. For male candidates, the test includes a 100-meter run, a long jump, a high jump, and a 1,500-meter run. For female candidates, the test includes a 100-meter run, a long jump, and a 800-meter run. The Endurance Test is conducted on the same day as the PMT.
Document Verification:
The final stage of the selection process is the Document Verification stage. Candidates who clear the written examination, PMT, and Endurance Test will be called for document verification. During this stage, candidates have to submit their original documents and certificates for verification. The documents that need to be submitted include educational certificates, community certificates, nativity certificates, and identity proof.
In conclusion, the Tamil Nadu SI Exam 2023 is a rigorous selection process that tests candidates’ knowledge, physical fitness, and document verification. It is essential for candidates to prepare well for all the stages of the selection process and ensure that they meet the minimum requirements set by the TNUSRB.
