Announcement on Punjab police requirement

The state of Punjab has recently announced for the job notification for filling the vacancies of 6435 constables and SI posts for the year 2016.

Punjab state has three commissionerates of state police namely in Amristar city, Jalandhar city and Ludhiana city. There are also four zones for Punjab state police namely border zone, Patiala zone, Jalandar zone and Bathinda zone. And also the state has seven different ranges such as Patiala range, Bathinda range, Ferozequer range, Ludhiana range, Jalandhar range, Border range and Rupnagar range. Recently the Punjab state government has made an announcement for filling up vacancies various post of constables and SI in the department of police for the state. There total number of job vancancies available is 6435. The interested and eligible candidates can apply online for their needed and interest field from 02.05.2016 to 30.05.2016 on the website punjabpolice.gov.in.

Punjab police is going to fill up the vacant space in the post for constable and SI in the year 2016. For this purpose they have released their notification for these posts. From today onwards the online form filling is available for all the interested and aspirant candidates. The total numbers of vacancies are 6435. Out of these, 4000 posts are available for male constables and two are available for female constables, 435 posts are available for the field of SI. They have also announced the district wise vacancies namely for the district of Fazlika 182 post are made available, for the district of Firozpur 182 post are made available. For the district of Gurdaspur they have announced for 182 post, for the district of Ludhiana 180 post, and for other districts like Bathinda, Faridkot, Amristar, Barnala, Mansa, Moga, Hoshinarpur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Karpurthaka, Pathankot, Tarn Taaran, Jalandhar, Rupnagar, Sri Mukstar Sahib, Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Sangrur, Patiala and Ajit Singh Nagar the reaming post are given. Eligibility criteria:

• Age limit: Candidates’ age limit should be between 18 to 25 years for both the post of constable and SI. A special age relaxation is given for 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC and OBC.
• Education qualification: the interested candidates should fulfill the education qualification of 10th or 12th for the post of constable and graduation in any subject is desired for the post of SI.

Pay Scale:

The following are the details of the pay scale for different post of police in Punjab .

• Sub inspector (SI): Rs.9300-34,800 +Grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
• Constable Male: Rs.5910-20,200+ Grade pay of Rs. 1900/-
• Constable Female: Rs.5910-20,200 Grade pay of Rs. 1900/-
