Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai is the training academy founded by the Indian Army. Every year, this academy will train the Men and Women into the officers for the Short Service Commission (SSC). OTA Chennai founded in the year 1963. Now the OTA Chennai released the job OTA Group C recruitment notification for the posts include Lower Division Clerk (LDC), CMD (Ordinary Grade), Groundsman, Fatigueman, Multi-Tasking Staff, Mess Waiter, Masalchi, Cadet Orderly and Groom under Group C Posts. OTA Chennai Group C Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification:
Candidates must hold the matriculation (10th) or equivalent and 12th qualification from the recognized institution or board. Candidates who are applying for the OTA Group C recruitment post Lower Division Clerk (LDC) must have passed the 12th qualification and have skill in the English typing. They have to type minimum 35 words per minute on computer. For CMD (Ordinary Grade) posts, candidates must possess civilian driving license and have 2 years of experience in driving. For other post, they need to conversant with the duties of the post.
Age Limit:
The minimum age for the all post is 18 years and the maximum age is 32 (varies according to post). As per the Officers Training Academy (OTA) norms, age relaxation is given to OBC/SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and PH Candidates.
OTA Chennai Group C application fee
UR Candidates must enclose only Crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs. 50 as examination fee in favour of “The Commandant, OTA, Chennai’. There is no OTA Chennai Group C recruitment examination fee for OBC/SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and PH Candidates. PH Candidates should attach medical certificate provided by the Medical Board. Ex-Servicemen must enclose the ‘Certificate of discharge from Services’. If they in service, they have submit the No Objection Certificate (NOC).
OTA Chennai Group C Posts Exam pattern
After reviewing the candidates the job application form, the selected candidates will be called for the OTA Chennai Group C written examination and it will be conducted in the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. The examination will be conducted in four subjects. General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, General English and Numerical Aptitude. All the examination questions will be in objective type (Multiple choice questions).
