Eligibility Criteria:
Scientist-‘B’ Group ‘A’ (Gazetted) : Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in any one of the following streams – Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication OR M.Sc. (Physics)/ M.Sc. (Electronics)/ M.Sc. (Computer Science)/ MCA with at least 60% marks.
Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB Group-B (Gazetted) : Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in any one of the following streams – Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication OR M.Sc. (Physics)/ M.Sc. (Electronics)/ M.Sc. (Computer Science)/ MCA with at least 60% marks.
Scientific/Technical Assistant – ‘A’ Group-B (Non-Gazetted) : Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communication OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications with at least 60% marks.
Age Limit: The age limit for the various posts as on 04.04.2023 is as follows:
- For UR/EWS Candidate : 30 Years
- For SC/ST Candidate : 35 Years
- For OBC (NCL) Candidate : 33 Years
- For PWD Candidate: 40 Years {SC/ST PWD Candidates : 45; OBC (NCL) PWD candidate 43}

Salary Details:
- Scientist-‘B’ Group ‘A’ (Gazetted) – Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500/-)
- Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB Group-B (Gazetted) – Level-8 (Rs. 47,600 – 1,51,100/-)
- Scientific/Technical Assistant – ‘A’ Group-B (Non-Gazetted) – Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400/-)
Selection Process: The selection process for the various posts will be through a written examination followed by an interview. The written examination will be conducted in multiple cities across India.
