Air India Cabin Crew Jobs

Air India is the third largest airline in India in terms of passengers carried, after IndiGo and Jet Airways. It is owned by Air India Limited, a Government of India enterprise and operates a fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft serving 84 domestic and international destinations. It is headquartered in New Delhi. Air India has its main hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and a secondary hub at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai. Air India became the 27th member of Star Alliance on 11 July 2014. It is Founded in 1932 by J. R. D. Tata and later renamed as Tata Airlines.

Air India Hiring Pilot Trainee

Air india planning to have 700 more pilots in the next two to three years keeping in view the fleet expansion. From last August till now, they have already recruited 250 pilots. So about 500 more pilots they are going to recruit. Advertisement for 400 pilots has already been floated,” said AI’s  General Manager (Operations), N Sivaramakirshnan. He further added that in 2015, Air India had planned to hire about 200 trainee pilots. However, only 78 of those completed their training.  Air India has about 858 pilots and the beleaguered airlines has lost around 100 pilots to other airlines since 2014.

Currently, Air India has three Airbus 320 simulators in Hyderabad and four in Mumbai that belongs to the Boeing family. They are planning to order one more simulator for training on ATR aircraft in Hyderabad. RFI (Request for Information) has already been floated.
