About KDCET
The Government of Karnataka established Common Entrance Test Cell in the year 1994 for conducting of Entrance Test and determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full time professional courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Engineering / Architecture courses,
Farm science i.e, B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc(Forestry), B.Sc. Agri Bio Tech, BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.FSc (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science &Tech)., B.Sc. (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op), B-Pharma, Pharma-D courses.
Admission to Government seats shall be made in accordance with the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006 (in short Rules) as amended from time to time
To expand the activities of the CET Cell, the Government by order No. ED. 212 TEC 2006 dated 20-12-2006 has converted the Common Entrance Test Cell into an autonomous body registered under Societies Registration Act 1960 called “Karnataka Examinations Authority” (KEA).
KDCET Exam
The DCET exam was conducted on 3rd July 2016 for all lateral entry students, who finished their diploma in various streams such as Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering / Polymer Technology Environmental Engg. / Public Health Engg. / Water Tech / Health Sciences, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ceramics Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology, Computer Science and Engg / Information Science Engg. , Electronics and Communication Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Biotechnology Courses have applied for Engineering courses where they can join at the second year of the course period.
The Exam conducted for three subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Thus the total marks is 60 marks for each subject. One need to qualify more than the decided cut off marks by the authority to get the admission.
Results Released
As Results of Karnataka DECT are released on 12th July 2016. Students searched various link to see their Score and Rank in Merit list. By this time, all would come to know their own results and score. Now all qualified students will be planning about the College to be join and pursue their Dream Career. With the help of Merit List 2016, the students will be called for further counselling process. Carry all the necessary documents to the KDCET Counselling. The Counselling will be held in three Sessions depending on the number of qualified students in KDCET. Seat Allotment will be done according to the score obtain in KDCET Result 2016 and the options chosen by the Candidates. How to download
To check the results and rank list, go to official link and check for appropriate link of DCET results 2016. Once reached, you will be asked to enter your Registration number [ Ex: AA001] and also give submit to display your results and Overall Rank will be appeared according to your performance in various section and courses. You can check complete mark sheet details. If possible take print out of it for counselling process.
