Joint Entrance Examination(Jee) Merit List rank List Download counselling 2016 is available here. Joint Entrance Examination is the national level entrance test conducted for the admission of engineering in short it’s the key to enter the doors of NIT’s and IIT’s to pursue UG Engineering courses.JEE Main exam was conducted on 3rd,9th,10th of April 2016. They have recently announced the merit list/rank list on 23rd June 2016.

About JEE  2016

JEE  Provides the admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.The States of Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have recently  joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – 2016 application form online.

JEE Examination Pattern

JEE is the two tier examination. The mark scored in Paper I of JEE mains can made the candidate eligible for the JEE advanced examination.

Steps to download Merit/Rank List

• Candidates who attended the JEE main examination can visit the official Website to download the merit/rank list.
• In the official website there is a new tab on the latest announcement states as“Joint Entrance Examination (Main)2016 with rank.
• Click on the above button, you will redirect to a page which ask you to provide the  Roll No and Date of Birth.
• Enter the required details. You will get your rank of JEE main examination on your screen.
• Please take a print out as it is necessary for the counselling.

Counselling Procedures of JEE main 2016

As per the notification, the counselling for the students will happen according to the rank list of students. The counselling starts from 24th June 2016.Joint seat allocation authority (JoSAA) counselling will be held for both JEE main and JEE advanced qualifiers.

There are several stages for appearing counselling with JoSAA. They are,

Online Registration: Candidates who wish to partipate in counselling must register themselves in the official website of JEE Main 2016 counselling. Fill up the required details and pay the counselling fees through online or through challan.

Online Choice filling and Locking: Login to account and mark the options for colleges and courses in choice filling round. Candidate have to be very sure on doing this process. As once locked it cannot be altered. Fill the maximum possible choices before deadline.

Seat Allotment and document verification: Allotment will be done on the basis of AIR, reservation norms, choices filled and vacancies. On allotment, candidate has to report RC as per schedule and pay the fees to confirm allotment of seat and get documents verified to get provisional admission letter.

Reporting to Allotted Institution: Candidate must report to the allotted institute with all the documents. Failing to do so will result into cancellation of the seat.JEE Main 2016 Spot Seat Allotment. A spot round of seat allotment is possible if there are vacant seats from the usual rounds of counselling. No fresh registration is required from an already registered candidate. Candidates who are registering afresh have to fill the choices, pay the fees and lock choices for allotment.

Documents required for Counselling: JEE Main 2016 Admit card, JEE Main 2016 rank card, Confirmation page copy, Mark sheet of X and XII, Recent Passport size photographs, Conduct certificate, Migration certificate(If applicable),Category certificate (If applicable). Please keep the photocopies and original of all the above documents.
