Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for the post of Typist are that the candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university, and must possess a certificate in Typewriting in English and Tamil.
Typist – A pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; and A pass in the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:
(i) Higher Grade in Tamil and English (or)
(ii) Higher Grade in Tamil and Lower Grade in English (or)
(iii) Higher Grade in English and Lower Grade in Tamil. Provided that if the candidates with qualifications referred in item (i) are not available, candidates with the qualifications referred to in item (ii) or (iii) in the order of preference above may be appointed. A pass in the Certificate Course in Computer Application and Office Automation or equivalent recognized by the Government.
Assistant Wireman – ITI in Electrical/Wireman – Must have H Certificate issued by Electrical Licensing Board
Watchman – Must be able to read and write in Tamil
Sweeper – Must be able to read and write in Tamil
Age Limit (As on 01.07.2023) : For all posts the age limit is between 18 to 45 Years. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Salary: The salary for the post of Typist will be in the pay scale of Rs.19,500 to Rs.62,000, and for the post of Assistant Wireman, it will be in the pay scale of 15900-50400/.
Selection Process: The selection process for the post of Typist and Assistant Wireman will consist of a shortlisting process followed by an interview. Candidates who clear the process will be called for the interview.
