Is preliminary examination marks considered into account for selection in group 1 posts?

Preliminary examination is conducted for all the candidates who have applied for the exam. This exams serves to be a screening test to shortlist the candidates to the next stage.

The candidates will be qualified based on the cut off marks set by the board. The marks obtained by the examination will only be for shortlisting and will not be considered in the final selection stage.

The mains examination marks and the interview stage marks alone will be considered for the merit list.
