Eligibility Criteria: To apply for the Technician posts at IIT Madras, candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of three years of experience Or ITI in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of three years of experience.
Experience:
- Proven experience in handling and maintaining large-capacity hydraulic presses 100 -1000 Ton.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting fluid power control systems.
- Knowledge of Press Machine Control Panels.
- Should be comfortable with loading/unloading the heavy machinery parts (net weight around 0.5-10 Ton) with the support of EOT cranes (automatic/manual).
- Should be comfortable with rotating shifts and night shifts.
Age Limit: The age limit for applicants will be specified in the detailed recruitment notification. Age relaxation may be applicable for candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.
Salary and Pay Scale : The selected candidates for the Technician posts will be offered a competitive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The pay structure will fall under the following category:
Pay Scale: Pay Level 3 or Pay Level 4 depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidates.
Basic Pay: Approx. ₹21,700 – ₹25,500 per month.
In addition to the basic pay, employees will also be entitled to various allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as per institute norms.
Selection Process : The selection process for the IIT Madras Technician 2024 recruitment will consist of multiple stages:
