Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: The age limit for applicants is generally set between 18 to 25 years as of 1st January 2024. There is no relaxation for any category as per the sports quota guidelines.
Educational Qualification:
- Senior Clerk (Level – 5) – Any Degree
- Junior Clerk (Level – 2) – 12th
- Technician Grade III (Level – 2) – 10th Pass OR 10th Pass plus Course completed Act Apprentice / ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT in relevant trades.
- Level – 1 – 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Sports Achievement Requirements:
Level 5
Category – A: Represented the country in Olympic Games (Senior Category)

Category – B: At least Third position in any of the category -B Championships/events:-
i) World Cup (Youth/ Junior/Senior)
ii) World Championships (Junior/Senior)
iii) Asian Games (Senior)
iv) Common Wealth Games (Senior)
v) Youth Olympics
Level 2:
Category – B: Represented the country in any of the category – B Championships/events:-
i) World Cup (Youth/ Junior/Senior)
ii) World Championships (Junior/Senior)
iii) Asian Games (Senior)
iv) Common Wealth Games (Senior)

(OR) Category – C: At least Third Position in any of the category – C Championships/events:-

Note: The sports achievements on or after 01.04.2022 up to 10.12.2024 shall only be considered for this recruitment.
Salary Details:
Pay Scale: Selected candidates for the sports quota recruitment will receive a pay level based on the sports achievement level and the position allotted. Typically, the pay scale for sports quota candidates at ICF ranges between Level 2 (INR 19,900 – INR 63,200) and Level 5 (INR 29,200 – INR 92,300) in the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix.
Additionally, other allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Medical Allowance will be provided as per ICF and Railway Board norms.
Selection Process:

Sports Trials: Eligible candidates will undergo a sports trial, where they will be tested on their specific sport skills, technique, performance, and physical fitness.
