How many candidates appear for TNPSC group 1 exam prelims and how many get selected to mains exam?

Group 1 exam is the most important and higher cadre exam conducted by TNPSC. For this exam , an average of about 5 lakhs candidates apply for this group 1 preliminary examination.

Out of which in the ratio of 1:50 , the candidates will be shortlisted and called to attend the main examination.

After the commencement of main examination, the candidates in the ratio of 1:2 will be selected to attend the oral test in the form of interview.
