Guidelines To Get National Overseas Scholarship For The Disability Students
The scheme of National Overseas Scholarship for Students with Disabilities has been launched under the ministry of Human Resource Development with the objectives of providing financial assistance to the students with disabilities for pursuing studies abroad at the level of Masters’ Degree and Ph.D. Procedure to apply and the eligibility are provided in detail as Guidelines To Get National Overseas Scholarship For The Disability Students.
Courses Offered with Overseas Scholarship
The scheme providing financial assistance for the master degree or PhD for the field of study such as Engineering and Management, Pure Science& Applied Sciences, Agricultural Science& Medicine, Commerce, Accounting & Finance, Humanities, Social Science, Fine Arts.
Category wise distribution of No of Scholarship
As total of 20 scholarship will be awarded as per the scheme, to encourage the women candidates 6 scholarship was allotted in total to the women candidates.

Educational Qualification
For PhD : Candidates have to complete the Masters Degree with first class or equivalent grade with at least 55 percent of marks. Preference would be provided to the experienced candidates.
For Master Degree: Candidates have to secure at least 55 Percent of Marks or equivalent grade in Bachelors degree . Preference will be given to experienced Candidates.
Age Limit
Candidates should have below 35 years to avail this scholarship of overseas studies.
Income Ceiling
Total income from all the sources of the employed candidate or by their parents shall not exceed Rs.6,00,000/-(six lakhs rupees only).Not more than two disabled children from a same parent is eligible for this scholarship.
Financial Allowance
Financial allowance provided with this scholarship are divided as many categories as various allowance.
Maintenance allowance will be provided for the disability students under this schlorship differ for each country as
For United Kingdom : GBP 9900/-
For United States: US $15400/-
Contingence Allowance
Contingence allowance is provided for the books/essential Apparatus/study tour/ travel cost for attending conferences/workshops/typing and binding of thesis
For United Kingdom : US $1500/-
For United States: GBP 1100/-
Other Allowances
Visa fees, poll tax, tuition fees will be applicable for the also allowed with this scholarship.
Cost of Air passage grant on actual basis from India to the nearest place to the educational Institution and back to India by economy class and shortest route with national carrier.
Local Travel allowance for the second or coach class railway fare from the port of disembarkation to the place of study and back on local.
Period of Allowance
The financial assistance is provided upto completion of the course/research or which one comes earlier.

Master Degree-03 years
Selection Procedure
The scheme will be advertised in the newspaper with eligibility and suitability . If the candidate fits those conditions of the scheme then they can apply it to the department of Disability affairs.
As per the last dates of receiving application apply as per the advertisement rules.
The screening committee will shortlist the Number of candidates eligible for this recruitment. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the personal interview.
The selection committee decision will be final based on the individual assessment and will decide based on merit.
