ABOUT CSIR NET EXAM
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for science subjects namely, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences jointly with the UGC. The test is conducted twice in a year generally in months of June and December. For those candidates who has desire to pursue research, the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is available for five years in subject to fulfillment of certain conditions. UGC has allocated a number of fellowships to the universities for the candidates who qualify the test for JRF. The JRFs are awarded to the meritorious candidates from among the candidates qualifying for eligibility for lectureship in the NET exam. And, JRFs are available only to the candidates who opt for it in their application forms. The test for JRF is being conducted since 1984. The Government of India, through its notification dated 22nd July 1988 entrusted the task of conducting the eligibility test for lectureship to UGC. Consequently, UGC conducted the first National Eligibility Test, common to both eligibility for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship in two parts, that is, in December 1989 and in March, 1990. UGC conducts NET exam twice a year i.e., in the months of June and December.
CSIR UGC NET EXAM ADMIT CARD FOR JUNE 2016
CSIR is going to commence its CSIR UGC NET 2016 on 19th June 2016. It has invited online application in the month of May and a large mass of candidates has applied for this. Candidates appearing for this exam must carry their Joint CSIR UGC NET 2016 Admit Card. applicants must visit the official website www.csirhrdg.res.in. There they will find a new link mentioning CSIR UGC NET ADMIT CARD 2016. By clicking on it they will find a new box appearing on screen. There they are supposed to give information on their application number and password that has been generated by the candidate during filling up the application form. For those candidates who forgot their password can regenerate new password by giving additional information such as their nick name or pet name or their favorite book name. By clicking on Submit button their admit card will be displayed on screen. This admits card will have their photograph, signature, date of exam, venue of exam and guidelines for appearing for exam. Candidates are advised to take any one of their ID proof such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Driving License. As candidates without any of their ID proof will not be permitted into examination hall.
