Junior Stenographer – JS2301 (03-UR, 01-OBC, 01-EWS)
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2/XII or its equivalent and proficiency in stenography as per the prescribed norms fixed by DoPT from time to time.
Typing Proficiency: The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidate in the Application Form) at the speed of 80 w.p.m.
Age Limit (As on 08.10.2023) : Junior Stenographer – Not exceeding 27 years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Salary: Selected candidates will receive a pay scale in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission, Level 4 (Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100).
Selection Process: The selection process consists of a written examination and a skill test in stenography. The written examination will assess candidates’ general intelligence, reasoning ability, numerical aptitude, and English language skills. The skill test in stenography will be a practical test to evaluate typing speed and accuracy. The Written Examination and Proficiency Test will be held in CHENNAI. The date, time and venue of the written test will be intimated well in time to the candidates through CLRI website as well as through candidate’s email id & mobile phone as provided by them in their application form.
