CBSE UGC NET Exam December 2016

NET is National Eligibility Test, it is dream of many scholars and young graduates to clear this NET exam for mainly two purposes one is for getting JRF and another purpose is for the Assistant Professor qualification. JRF is Junior Research Fellowship which is a scholarship for young scholars for doing M.Phil and Ph.D. this exam is now been conducted under the governance of CBSE, Central Board for Secondary Education from UGC that is University Grants Commission.

This exam acts as a gateway for many candidates to achieve their dream of getting Lectureship or Assistant Professor jobs in various colleges, universities and other educational institutions. And the authority board conducts this exam twice in a year for the benefit of the students. The first phase is conducted in the month of June and second exam will be conducted in the month of December. Eligibility Criteria for CBSE NET December 2016

  • Age Limit: Any aspirant who is below the age of 28 years for JRF is eligible for taking up this exam and some age relaxation is given by the board based on the norms of government. And there is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor.
  • Educational Qualification: Any aspirants who have got 55 percent in their post graduation is eligible to take this exam. And even the post graduate students who are in their final year can take up this exam.

Exam Pattern for CBSE NET 2016

The test consists of three papers and all the three papers are objective in nature.

Paper Marks Number of questions Time
Paper I 100 60, out of which 50 have to be answered 1.15 hrs
Paper II 100 50 questions. All are compulsory 1.15 hrs
Paper III 150 75 questions. All are compulsory 2.30 hrs

Paper I

This paper is based on general knowledge, aptitude and current affairs.

Paper II

This paper will be conducted on the subject.

Paper III

This paper will be conducted in deep knowledge on the subject on which the aspirant is appearing for the exam.
