About BSNL
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (abbreviated BSNL) is an Indian state-owned telecommunications company headquartered in New Delhi. It was incorporated on 15 September 2000 and took over the business of providing of telecom services and network management from the erstwhile Central Government Departments of Telecom Services (DTS) and Telecom Operations (DTO), with effect from 1 October 2000 on a going concern basis. It is the largest provider of fixed telephony and broadband services with more than 60% market share and sixth largest mobile telephony provider in India.
BSNL Exam Pattern
The available vacancy for Junior Engineer and Telecom Technical Assistant in BSNL is 2700. The selection process will be of written examination only. This exam will be conducted throughout India. It is based on online objective multiple choice questions. The question paper consists of three parts such as General ability, Basic Engineering and Specialization part. The General ability will be of 20 marks, Basic Engineering will be of 90 Marks and Specialization will be of 90 Marks. The total time duration is 3 Hours i.e. 10 am to 1 pm.
The Total Marks for written exam is 200 marks. There shall be negative marking of 25% or 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score obtained by the candidates. Each question carries 1mark.The Minimum qualifying percentage for each part of question paper as follows in category wise, OC – 30% and SC,ST, & OBC – 20%. The Minimum qualifying aggregate marks as follows in category wise, OC – 40% and SC,ST & OBC -33%.

BSNL Syllabus
The General ability part of BSNL recruitment board is given below for aspirant’s clear understanding and to prepare properly for their upcoming examination. GA consists of Antonyms, Synonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Multiple Choice Exercise etc, Current Events, General Knowledge & Matters of Everyday Observation. The Basic engineering syllabus as follows, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Basic Electricity, Electronics Devices and Circuits & Digital Techniques. The Specialization syllabus is applicable for all contenders such as Electrical, Communication, Networks, Filters and Transmission Lines, Instruments and Measurements, Control Systems, Microprocessors & Computer.
