Vacancy and Salary Details For Recruitment In BSF 2022
The Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India invites online applications from eligible Male and Female Indian citizens for filling up the vacancies for the Combatised posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). The Vacancy Details with the salary is discussed in this part of the article.

Eligibility Criteria For the Vacancies In BSI 2022:
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Skill: Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi in 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes OR in Hindi in 65 minutes, on computer.
- Head Constable (Ministerial)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Skill: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 w.p.m in English and 30 w.p.m in Hindi correspond to 10500 KDPH in English and 9000 KDPH in Hindi respectively with an average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer).
Time Allowed: 10 minutes.
Age Limit
- Between 18 to 25 Years (As on 06.09.2022)
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Government Rules.

Application Fee
- Candidates applying for the post of ASI(Steno) and HC(Ministerial) to pay Rs. 100/ (Rupees one hundred only)
- The examination fee must be paid through any of the following payment modes : Net banking of any bank , Credit/Debit Card of any bank , UPI , Wallet.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF candidate, Female candidates and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of examination fee. However, Rs.40/- plus taxes = Rs.47.2/- will be charged from every candidate including exempted category as “service charge” by the CSC.
- Payment of examination fee will be accepted only through Online mode.
