Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have a full-time degree in Engineering/Technology/Management or an equivalent qualification relevant to the discipline they are applying for.
• A minimum percentage requirement (e.g., 60%) may be specified based on the discipline.

1. Executive Trainee (Mechanical) – Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized University.

2. Executive Trainee (Electrical) – Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized University.

3. Executive Trainee (Electronics) – Degree in Electronics Engineering with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized University.

4. Executive Trainee (Naval Architecture) – Degree in Naval Architecture with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized University.

5. Executive Trainee (Civil) – Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized University.

6. Executive Trainee (Information Technology) – Essential:- a) Degree in Engineering in Computer Science with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized university OR b) Degree in Engineering in Information Technology with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized university OR c) Master’s Degree in Computer Applications / Computer Science/ Information Technology with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized university. Desirable:- Valid Certification from reputed agencies/ organizations on Programming Language/ DBMS/ Networking/ ERP Systems.

7. Executive Trainee (Human Resource) – Two year Master’s Degree or equivalent Degree or equivalent Diploma or Post Graduate Degree in any of the following areas, with minimum of Sixty Five Percentage marks from a recognized University :- (i) Master’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in HR or equivalent Degree with specialization in HR or equivalent Diploma with specialization in HR OR (ii) Post Graduate Degree in Social Work with specialization in Personnel Management or Labour Welfare & Industrial Relations OR (iii) Post Graduate Degree in Personnel Management.

8. Executive Trainee (Finance) – Pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Age Limit: Upper Age Limit: 27 years as of 06.01.2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:

Salary

• Pay Scale: Executive Trainees will receive a stipend during training. Upon successful completion of training, they will be absorbed into a regular pay scale of ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (E1 Grade).
• Other allowances include HRA, medical benefits, and performance-linked incentives as per CSL rules.

Selection Process: The selection process for CSL Executive Trainee Recruitment involves multiple stages:

Online Test:The objective-type test will evaluate candidates’ technical knowledge, general aptitude, and reasoning abilities.

Group Discussion (GD): Shortlisted candidates from the online test will participate in a group discussion to assess communication and teamwork skills.

Personal Interview: Final candidates will be called for a personal interview to assess suitability for the role.

The final merit list will be prepared based on combined scores from the Online Test, GD, and Interview.
